Bruno Magli Gelmer Swarovski pumps
If you checked out Net-a-Porter’s ‘new in’ section yesterday, I’m sure you won’t be remotely surprised to see these shoes appearing here today. They may not be my favourite shoes currently available at NAP (I think that title has to go to Christian Louboutin’s ‘Completa’ pumps…) but they are one of the most OTT pairs, and that’s reason enough for me to want to show you them.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I have a tendency to associate Bruno Magli with much more “sensible” styles, so the brand name came as a surprise to me here, because these are anything BUT sensible. I mean, the Swarovski-crytal-studded mesh upper would be a show-stopper on its own, but as if that wasn’t enough, they’ve also added that extravagantly-embellished heel, for extra impact.
Such a stand-out shoe seems to require an equally stand-out outfit to go with it, and I think Net-a-Porter have done a pretty good job of pairing them with this dusky pink Valentino mini dress:
f you’re looking for something a little less expensive – and perhaps a little more subtle, too – however, this dress by Oasis is an almost exact match for the colour, but has a simpler shape, which might be slightly easier to wear.
